Albert G. Haryn of Florenton, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army on Oct. 10, 1941 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Private First Class and field lineman in Headquarters Battery of the 123rd Field Artillery Battalion in New Guinea and Luzon.
Mr. Haryn was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
He was honorably discharged Jan. 22, 1946 at Camp Atterbury, Ind.
