Alban C. Enwall was inducted into the Army Air Corps on Dec. 19, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Staff Sergeant and refueling unit operator. Shipped out in July 1944. He joined a weather squadron flying British Mosquito bombers, and then was assigned to the 349th Bomb Squadron of the 100th Bomb Group of the 8th Air Force based in England.He also served in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Enwall was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal and two overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on Dec. 6, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
