Aarne E. Lassila

Aarne E. Lassila of Iron River, Wisconsin was inducted into the Army Air Corps on June 23, 1942.

He was a Sergeant and clerk-typist with the Headquarters and Base Service Squadron, 522nd Air Service Group in Naples-Foggia and Rome-Arno, Italy.

Mr. Lassila received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on December 1, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
