John Broman of Duluth, Minnesota enlisted on April 30, 1918 into Company D, 3rd Engineers Regiment in Camp Humphries, VA.
He transferred to Company E, 116th Engineers and then to Company E, 101 Engineers in the “National Army.”
He participated in the following battles in France: Aisne-Marne Offensive, St. Mihel Offensive and the Muese-Argonne Offensive. He served overseas from June 12, 1918 to April 4, 1919.
He was honorably discharged on April 17, 1919.
