Richard Earl Gose

Richard was drafted into the Army in 1966, and served as a Specialist 4th Class E-4. After completing basic training at Ft. Knox, KY, he went on to advanced infantry training at "Tigerland" at Ft. Polk.
Richard recalls serving briefly with the 57th Aviation Company, then transferring to the 134th Assault Helicopter Company as a helicopter door gunner. After serving 9 months with the 134th, he joined the 1st Aviation Brigade in Vietnam, where he spent the majority of his service in An Khe.
