Nhia Cha P. Vang is a Laotian, who fought for his country and for the American military in Laos and Vietnam from December 1965 until 1978.
He was a Lieutenant assigned to S. G. U. Battalion 228A/3 and 201/3, Loa National Army. After the collapse of his country, he left for America, and today is a resident of Superior.
“I began 1965 in S. G. U. Battalion 228A/3. In 1970 I was a Unit Commander with the same Battalion. I became a transportation supply to soldier location to location and by airplane. After that I went to the front line with the battalion.
In 1972 I was wounded multiple times by enemy guns and grenades. I have more than thirty scars to remind me of the war. I still cough up blood from the bullet in my lung.”
