Lorn Dean Hauge

The following was taken from an interview by Ryan Hauge, a student at Ordean Middle School.
Lorn was in the Headquarters Company, 2nd Armored Division during the Vietnam War. He went to basic training in Fort Knox, Kentucky and medic training in San Antonio, Texas. He served as a medical specialist in the surgical ward at Darnell Army Hospital from 1971 to 1973.

Regarding his time in the Army he said, “The negative attitude of the times made life difficult. War protestors didn’t like us very much and when I came home people gave me a hard time for being a soldier.”
