Everett "Butch" Matthew Viitala
Mr. Viitala served in the Vietnam War. He served in the U.S. Navy from October 18, 1967, unti February 7, 1972.

From August until December 1968, he served as Ward Corpsman on Ward 26-2C Plastic and Burn Reconstructive Unit. He attended Operating Room school from December 1968 until July 1969. He was assigned to Naval Air Station TC from July 1969 until May 1970. From June 1970 until February 1972, he served as Surgeon Mate aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ranger (CVA-61).
He was honorably discharged. Mr. Viitala was born on November 12, 1949, in Virginia, Minnesota. He grew up in Mt. Iron, Minnesota, and attended kindergarten through high school there. He graduated from high school in 1967.

Discharged Honorably. Member Gulf of Tonkin Yacht Club. VFW and Disabled American Veteran's. Married, 3 children. Lives in Bear River MN.
