GAGNE, Dale Francis
Dale Francis Gagne was born on June 14th 1946 to Joseph Matt & Ann Margaret “Inky” [Grahek] Stefanich in Duluth, Minnesota.
Mr. Gagne enlisted in the U.S. Army on January 25th 1969. His tour of Vietnam began December 4th 1969 as an Engineer Equipment Repairman. He was assigned the 18th Enngineer Brigade, 35th Engineer Battalion, 45th Engineer Group, of HQ Company. He rose to the rank of Specialist 4th Class (SP4).
Specialist Gagne was tragically killed in action on July 12th 1967 at 22 years of age. The incident occured in Binh Dinh Province in South Vietnam. His body was recovered and returned home. He is buried at Lake View Cemetery in Tower. His name is also etched in the National Vietnam War Memorial in Washington D.C.
SP4 Gagne was born on June 14, 1947. He was killed in action on July 12, 1967. His hometown was Duluth, Minnesota.
