James D. Williams

Mr. Williams served in the Spanish American War.
He served in Company F, the 14th Minnesota Volunteer Infantry. He was one of two musicians in Company F.
Mr. Williams enrolled on April 29, 1898, in Fergus Falls. At that time, he was 22 years old. He mustered in on May 8, 1898, at Camp Ramsey. He was sick in quarters on May 31. He was in the hospital on September 21 and 22. He was sick in quarters on September 23 and 24. He was in the hospital on September 25 and 26. He mustered out on November 18, 1898, in St. Paul. (November 18 appears to be the date that everyone in the 14th mustered out in St. Paul.)
Mr. Williams was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was a resident of Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
