The Minnesota Air National Guard 148th Fighter Wing announced the following:
“Col. Howard Hayes assumed the role of operations group commander. Hayes graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1984 and joined the 148th in 1999. He has served in positions including operations support flight commander and most recently vice wing commander, Col. Hayes is a command pilot with more than 4,000 flying hours, and more than 1,800 of those are as an instructor pilot in the F-15C at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia, Keflavic Naval Air Station in Iceland, Dhahran Air Base in Saudi Arabia and Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla.”
