Brian James Hiedeman
Era: Post Cold War / Other
Military Branch: Army
Brian enlisted in the Army on July 11, 1996. He served as a Private First Class for the Bravo Battery 317 in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
Although he served for only 1 1/2 years, Brian remarked that his service allowed him to see many sites. On of the most memorable was his battery in Hawaii, which was located near a ridge Japanese planes passed over while invading Pearl Harbor. A white cross still marks the point where the planes flew in.
Brian was discharged on February 13, 1998.
Brian said "I'm going to let you know that serving in the Army had been good to me... and I hope that others will join."
