Lee Tripp
Era: Persian Gulf
Military Branch: Air Force
The following story was taken from an interview conducted by Dillon Friday, a student at Ordean Middle School and nephew of Lee Tripp. The narrative tells the story of Tripp's experience in the Air Force during the Gulf War.
Lee Tripp served with the 36 SPS in the US Air Force. He served "on an air base in Saudi Arabia and in a place called King Abdul Aziz." When asked if he remembered his experiences well, he told his nephew, "I made some friends I could never forget and it was only ten years ago."
Dillon then asked, "How was Air Force life in general?"
Lee replied, "The Air Force life was much, much better than the other three services. There was better food and sleeping."
