“Lt. Colonel Grant R. Doty retired from the Army on May 16 at a ceremony at the Pentagon.
“Doty, 42, is a Duluth native and served in the military for 20 years after graduating from the Military Academy at West Point in 1988. He is the son of Ralph and Diane Doty of Duluth and The Villages, Fla. During his years in the Army, Doty served in Operation Desert Storm and the current war in Iraq. Two days after his retirement, Doty received his law degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
“Doty; his wife, Pamela Owens; and their three sons will relocate to St. Louis, Mo.”
