Robert William Draves
Mr. Draves served in the Korean War. He served with the U.S. Army beginning on June 16, 1952. He was assigned with the 29th Regional Combat Team Band in Okinawa. He held the rank of PFC, and was honorably discharged on June 22, 1954. Mr. Draves was born in Chicago, Illinois. He is the son of Albert and Louise Draves. He graduated from South Shore High School in June of 1948.

“Stationed on Okinawa with the 29th RTC band. Played all formations as a drummer. Played all U.S.O. as a jazz guitarist on Okinawa and Taiwan.”
