Louise entered the Navy in May 1952.

She had boot camp training at Bainbridge, MD, Basic Hospital Corps School, Bainbridge, MD-- HN-- Hospitalman, Clinical Lab Technician School at NNMC Bethesda, MD.

Louise was based at USMC Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC, infirmary duty to Hospital 3rd Class Medical Technician. She took and passed a test to upgrade on Novemeber 16, 1955 and became a Hospitalman 2nd class.

She was awarded a National Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. She mustered out on May 12, 1956.
