The first five photographs show Mr. Hubert with members of his squad in Korea.
The sixth photo is of a Jeep restored by Mr. Hubert, who is beside it. He loaned it to Veterans’ Memorial Hall for a Korean War exhibit in July 2000.
Mr. Hubert served in the Korean War.
He served in the U.S. Army in 1953, including six months in combat. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion of the 5th Regimental Combat Team, a unit assigned to “plug holes” in the American lines. He was a sergeant and was in charge of an intelligence and reconnaissance squad.
Mr. Hubert is from Duluth, Minnesota.
