Gerald "Jerry" W. Nevanen

He was drafted into the armed services during the Korean War.

Mr. Nevanen was born March 30, 1931, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Wesley E. and Dorothy C. (Casey) Nevanen. He graduated from Chisholm High School in 1949. He was studying at St. Thomas College at the time that he was drafted.

Mr. Nevanen was past Commander of former Crellin-Gustafson VFW Post 1340 and of Press-Lloyd American Legion Post 247.

Mr. Nevanen died at age 76 in Hibbing, Minnesota, on Monday, December 31, 2007.
