He was born on July 27, 1965, the son of George and Sharon Nylander.
He graduated from Hermantown Central High School in Hermantown, Minnesota.
He died on July 30, 1991, at age 26. He was killed when his F16 crashed during a nighttime training mission when stationed at Hill Air Force Base, Layton, Utah.
