Captain Jacob Kotzian, son of Timothy and Nancy Kotzian and grandson of Mrs. Robert (Edith) Eidelbes, will be deploying to Iraq later this month. He is a nurse Anesthetist with the 945th Forward Surgical Team, based out of Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
“Jeb,” as he is known to many of his friends in this area, recently completed training at the University of Miami trauma resuscitation unit, as well as at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, in preparation for his deployment.
Captain Kotzian currently holds a position as a Nurse Anesthetist at Monticello Big Lake Community Hospital and at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
The Captain’s wife, Bobbi and their children, fourteen year-old Nickolas, six-year old Jacob, three-year old Adria and little nine-month old Joseph, will be awaiting the return of their husband and father early next year.
This week, Captain Kotzian expressed appreciation all of the people who have called, e- mailed and volunteered to assist in whatever way possible. The support and encouragement of family and friends means a great deal to servicemen who are facing deployment. Jeb especially expressed appreciation to the members of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Tower for all of their letters, cards and words of encouragement.
