Mr. Miletich is the son of Carol and Eli Miletich of Duluth, Minnesota. He graduated from 1998 from Duluth Denfeld High School. Subsequently, he graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, in 2002, and from the United Services Medical School in Bethesda, Maryland.

Navy Lieutenant Dr. Derek M. Miletich, the son of Carol and Eli Miletich of Duluth, Minnesota, completed intensive training as a flight surgeon at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, Florida. During the training Miletich learned how to fly airplanes and helicopters as may be needed under certain conditions. He is a 1998 graduate of Denfeld High School, a 2002 graduate of the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and a 2006 graduate of the United Services Medical School in Bethesda, Maryland. He is stationed in Sicily, Italy, where he’s serving as a flight surgeon.
