Andrew Schumaker
Andrew Schumaker, son of Al and Lori Schumaker of Esko, Minnesota earned an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Schumaker, a 2007 graduate of Lincoln High School in Esko, was one of 1,300 accepted to the university.
He completed combat basic training on Aug. 13 and was officially accepted into the Corps of Cadets on Aug. 18.
He plans to graduate in 2011 as a 2nd lieutenant in the Army.
