William "Bill" Russell Johnson

Mr. Johnson served during the Cold War.
Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 until 1952. He was stationed in Washington, D.C., and served as a member of the Honor Guard for two years before serving an additional two years aboard the destroyer, U.S.S. Robert A. Owens.
William was born February 24, 1930, in International Falls, Minnesota, the son of Fred and Clara (Horne) Johnson. He grew up in Littlefork, Minnesota, and graduated from Littlefork High School in 1948.
Mr. Johnson died at age 78 on August 19, 2008, in Duluth, Minnesota.
