The following story was taken from an interview conducted by Miss Courtney Govze, a student at Ordean Middle School and granddaughter of Mr. Louis Govze.
Master Sergeant Govze, who served in the Minnesota Air National Guard in the 148th Fighter Wing, told his granddaughter, "I worked on F-51, F-94, F-89, and F-102's," attended Gunnery meets, loaded and fired missiles, and repaired radios in the aircraft.
His service took him across the United States to Florida, Wyoming, and Idaho.
