KENDZORA, Wallace Joseph
Wallace Joseph "Wally" Kendzora was born on March 29th 1921 to Joseph F. & Sally C. [Kuyava] Kendzora in Duluth, Minnesota. He graduated from Proctor High School.
Mr. Kendzora enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on September 22nd 1942 at Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He was an aircraft crew chief in the Pacific Theater (Pearl Harbor, Guam, Japan). He also participated in the occupation of Japan. He rose to the rank of Technical Sergeant (TSGT).
SGT Kendzora was honorably discharged on May 17th 1946 at Great Lakes, Illinois. After the war he returned home and married Maritza Fajdetich on January 31st 1948 in Duluth and they started a family. He was a member of the American Legion. His father Joseph Felix Kendzora and brother John Felix Kendzora served in WWI and the Korean War respecitvely.
Mr. Kendzora died on August 24th 2004 at 83 years of age. He is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Duluth.
