Mr. Bakk entered the Navy at Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 21, 1943.

He served as a Pharmacist Mate Second Class and corpsman with the USN Hospital, Bremerton, Washington.

He completed training as a neuropsychiatric technician. He also had ward duty at USN Hospital, Shoemaker, California.

Mr. Bakk was honorably discharged January 2, 1946.
