LeRoy Thomas Veralrud was born on June 7th 1925 in Sparta, Minnesota to Thomas & . Veralrud

He entered the Army on August 26, 1943 at Ft. Snelling, Minnesota. He was also in the Army Air Corps.

Mr. Veralrud served as a Private with Company K of the 317th Infantry Regiment of the 80th Infantry Division in the European Theater.

He was killed in action in France on September 2, 1944. He was buried at Gilbert Cenetery in Gilbert, Minnesota.
