Bennie Joseph Jeanetta, Sr. entered the U.S. Army on January 23rd 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Duluth, Minnesota.
He served as a Technician 4th Grade, mess sergeant and Italian interpreter with the 2810 Engineers Petroleum Distribution Company in Camp Claiborne, Louisiana.
He also served in the Army during World War I from October 7, 1918 to January 25, 1919, with the Anti-Aircraft Artillery Corp., part of the 125th Field Artillery Battalion
He was awarded the American Defense Service Medal.
Mr. Jeanetta was honorably discharged on June 11, 1945, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. He died on January 7th 1968 at 69 years of age. He is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Duluth.
