VIKJORD, Allan Duane
Allan Duane Vikjord was born on March 31st 1924 to Sandrup Artunder & Ida [Carlstrom] Vikjord. in Crookston, Minnesota. He moved to Hibbing to seek work in the mines.
Mr. Vikjord was inducted into the United States Army on February 14th 1944 at Ft. Snelling. Minnesota.duing during WWII, He rose to the rank of Sergeant First Class (SFC).
SFC Vikjord was honorably discharged in 1945. After the war, he returned to the States and married Rhoda Hannah Wordell in 1946 in New Bedford, Massachusetts and they started a family.
SGT Vikjord then re-enlisted in the Army on November 1st 1945 out of Camp McCoy Sparta, Wisconsin. He also served during the Korean War.
