Harold W. Naapila was inducted into the Army Air Corps on May 28, 1942, Fort Snelling, Minn. Home at entry: Buhl, Minn.
He was a Sergeant and Airplane Propeller Mechanic. His unit served in Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, North Apennines, and the Po Valley in Italy and in southern France.
Mr. Naapila was assigned to the 360th Air Service Squadron.
Mr. Naapila was decorated with the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with six bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and four overseas service bars.
He and was discharged on September 12, 1945.
